President Bola Tinubu is currently meeting with governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, otherwise known as the Progressives Governors Forum, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting, which began shortly before 4:00pm on Thursday, came after the governors emerged from a separate session of the National Economic Council chaired by Vice President Kashim Shettima.
At the time of this report, the meeting is still ongoing, even as the agenda it yet to be disclosed.
The engagement comes just eight days after the official commencement of campaigns for the 2027 general election, in line with the timetable released by the Independent National Electoral Commission, and also five days after the APC officially released the list of members of its Presidential Campaign Council, to be led by former Zamfara State Governor, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, as Director-General.
