CHRIS OKAFOR FOUNDATION EMPOWERS ARTISANS, ASSISTS WIDOWS

The newly launched Chris Okafor Foundation has empowered about 50 artisans, including men and women. They were trained in various fields of endeavour and were subsequently supported with cash so as to be independent. Okafor also presented a number of widows with food items and other relief materials. Speaking at the graduation ceremony of the training which lasted for a week, the General Overseer of The Liberation City, Dr. Chris Okafor said: “The mandate given to me is to put smiles into the faces of the less privileged. The church’s responsibility is not only to deliver people or win their souls for Christ, but also to empower them with skills and cash so that they can be independent”. He therefore challenged all the graduates to make sure that the purpose of the training is not defeated. He prayed for them to be successful and equally called on other members of the  Body of Christ to emulate the gesture of the church as this will reduce the rate of unemployment in the country.
