Chelsea are set to miss out on Victor Osimhen, with the Super Eagles striker closing in on a £67.3m (€80m) move to Saudi Arabian side Al Ahli from Napoli.
According to Sky Sports, Saudi Arabian side Al Ahli, long-term admirers of Osimhen, have moved ahead of Chelsea by offering him a four-year contract worth around £33.6m (€40m) per season—about £646,154 per week—tax-free. The deal also includes a release clause.
The ex-Lille and Wolfsburg forward will undergo a medical with Al Ahli on Friday and will be joining the club that Napoli preferred him to move to.
Napoli has since signed Osimhen’s replacement following the arrival of Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku, who joined the club in a €30 million deal on Thursday.
