Senator Oluremi Tinubu, wife of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has donated N500 million to support victims of the devastating floods in Borno State.
During a condolence visit to Maiduguri Government House, represented by Hajiya Nana Kashim Shettima, wife of the Vice-President, Mrs. Tinubu expressed concern over the floods, describing them as an “act of God.”
She condoled with Governor Babagana Umara Zulum and the people of Borno, saying, “Only God can compensate for their losses.”
Governor Zulum thanked the delegation for the donation, which will assist flood victims.
The delegation, including wives of top government officials, also paid a condolence visit to the palace of the Shehu of Borno, Dr. Abubakar Ibn Garbai Al-amin Elkanemi, which was previously submerged in the floods.”
