The call comes in commemoration of World Youth Skills Day 2026, celebrated annually on July 15. This year’s theme, “Skills for a Shared Future,” highlights the importance of equipping young people with the technical, digital, artificial intelligence, green and human skills needed to thrive in an increasingly dynamic job market.

In March 2026, the company hosted engineering students from the University of Lagos (UNILAG) for an educational tour of its Gbagada facility in commemoration of World Engineering Day. Guided by the JMG Engineering Team, the students explored key production processes and gained practical insights into how engineering innovation drive sustainable industrial development.
Similarly, as part of its 2026 Children’s Day celebrations, JMG welcomed Science students from Wellspring College for an industrial tour of the same facility. The students were taken through assembly and production processes by the Production Team, exposing them to engineering systems, manufacturing workflows, and operational procedures,

Speaking on the significance of the day, the Chief Human Resources Officer, Gloria Ibeziako, said preparing young people for the future requires deliberate investment in skills development and stronger partnerships between education and industry.
