Video: Nigerian woman cries out after discovering ₦3m missing from her Access bank account

A Nigerian woman has raised the alarm after returning from Dubai to discover that her savings of about ₦3 million had allegedly disappeared from her bank account.

In a video she shared online and has since gone viral, the woman said she had been saving the money since 2022 and expected to have about ₦3 million in the account when she returned from Dubai.

However, she was shocked to find that almost all the money was gone.

“They have taken my money, all my savings from 2022. I was supposed to have about ₦3 million in my bank account, but when I came back from Dubai to check, I couldn’t find even ₦1,000,” she said.

According to her, the bank later told her that her SIM card had been reassigned to another person, who allegedly used it to access the account and withdraw money.

“I was told my SIM card was given to someone else, and the person has been withdrawing ₦20,000 from the account since 2024,” she added.

The woman said she had previously contacted the bank to check the status of her account and provided documents requested by the financial institution.

She said she was assured that there were no ongoing transactions on the account at the time.

She later discovered that money had allegedly been leaving the account from October 2025. By the time

she returned and investigated the matter, she said her savings had been almost completely depleted.

She said the bank informed her that the case was under investigation and subsequently provided details of the beneficiary, whom she was advised to report to the police.
